With schedules out for the fall, some of the TwoCentsTV editors began taking stock and figuring out their own watch lists. With decisions on what to watch live and what to record, the editors also picked their network winners for each night of original programming.
Check out our forecast for Mondays this fall.
Jules: Nothing on the Monday schedule is interesting except for Supergirl (of course).
Brianna: I’ve got Lucifer on Mondays so far. I got to see a bit of The Gifted at Comic-Con but wasn’t completely sold, so I’m not sure. As far a time slot winners go, though? I’m thinking Big Bang and/or The Voice.
Jules: Yeah, The Voice. Big Bang Theory is temporary.
Brianna: True. Any Monday shows you’re willing to give a shot? Or a pass on all?
Jules: I think it’s a pass for me. Just Supergirl.
Brianna: That’s fair.
Jules: No new shows look good on Mondays.
Brianna: True. Also, not sure about pairing Supergirl with Valor.
Jules: Yeah, kinda odd pairing.
Brianna: Supergirl isn’t exactly a great foundational lead-in (not that it feels like the CW is concerned with linear ratings like that).
Jules: Agreed on that.
Brianna: Any other odd schedule pairings on Monday? I thought it was funny that Fox paired Marvel’s The Gifted with DC/Vertigo’s Lucifer. But, I don’t think tonally it’ll make a difference.
Jules: No. didn’t realize CBS was giving Monday a comedy vibe in the first two hours again
Brianna: Oh? How long has it been since they had a 2-hour comedy block on Mondays?
Jules: No idea. But looking at last year’s look like they tried it.
Brianna: I feel there was a bit of shifting after the fact, but can’t be sure.
Jules: yeah. Well, 2 broke girls and the odd couple no longer air, but can’t be sure if they were still airing Mondays.
And that’s it for Mondays! Check back tomorrow for Tuesdays Fall Forecast.
