FX Renews ‘Baskets’ For Season 3

FX is giving viewers more Baskets!

The network announced Thursday afternoon that the series has been renewed for a third season.

“This year Baskets has solidified its standing as one of the best comedies on television, building on the momentum of its breakout first season that brought critical acclaim and awards,” said  Co-President of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Programming, Nick Grad. “Our thanks to Jonathan Krisel, Louis C.K., Zach Galifianakis and the rest of the creative team, Louie Anderson, Martha Kelly and the full cast and crew for taking us on this journey with Baskets.”

The second season of the show has the Baskets family going through a tough time with Chip dealing with the aftermath of losing his wife and his job at the rodeo. But after a failed attempt to get out of Bakersfield, he ends up back in the thick of it. Meanwhile, Dale’s marriage is in ruins as his unrequited love affair with Martha deepens, and Christine, who dedicated her life to her sons with little affection in return, takes her own happiness into consideration for once —and finds romance on the way.

The cast of Baskets features Zach Galifianakis as twins “Chip” and “Dale Baskets,” Louie Anderson as “Christine Baskets”, and Martha Kelly as “Martha.”
