‘iZombie’ Season 3 DVD Review

**Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.**

After a third season that ended with a surprising new Seattle, iZombie season three is out on DVD and Blu-ray! Which means that it’s a perfect time to binge and catch up.

iZombie season three saw Liv and the group dealing with a surprising change of regime in the zombie world, as Chase Graves come in to run Fillmore-Graves. Team Z soon finds out the Fillmore-Graves has been preparing for Discovery Day, the day that the humans find out that zombies exist. While it may have felt years in the future, fans were proven wrong.

By the time season three closes out, zombies have been outed, there’s a new place in the world for the undead (including in the Mayor’s office), and certain human factions haven’t quite adjusted to the new reality in Seattle. That change also affected specific members of the team including Major, who dealt with wanting to be human and struggling to find where he fits in. And of course, the most significant question hanging over the final moments of the season, as Ravi volunteers himself to be the new guinea pig for the cure that he created. Fans were left with the question of what happened to Ravi and if the cure worked.

There were also some fun brains of the week in season three, ranging from the stuntman brain and a dungeon master to the conspiracy theorist brain that Liv shared with Blaine and Don E.

The special features included deleted scenes and the 2016 Comic-Con panel. The latter is par for the course as a DCTV series (see all of the Arrowverse, Gotham, and Lucifer), featuring the cast and executive producers answering questions. The deleted scenes are always fun to watch and see where they fit in with the final cut of the episode.

Prep for the show’s fourth season and check out iZombie season three on Digital HD, DVD, and Blu-ray out now!

iZombie returns in the midseason on the CW.
