‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 2 DVD Review

**Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.**

After a solidly fun second season, Legends of Tomorrow season two is out on DVD and Blu-ray!

The second season of Legends of Tomorrow dropped a considerable amount of what felt out of place in the show’s first season and brought viewers a balanced mix of insight into the Legends, a fun era of the week, and great action.

The second season also brought the addition of Amaya Jiwe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), both with ancestry connected to the Arrowverse. Amaya is Mari McCabe aka Vixen’s grandmother and carries the power of the totem with her that would eventually pass down to her granddaughter. Meanwhile, Nate’s grandfather was a member of the Justice Society of America. The pair’s addition to the team changed up the dynamic a bit but in a fun and entertaining way and rewatching the season made that clear.

The special features are par for the Arrowverse, including deleted scenes, a gag reel, and the 2016 Comic-Con panel with the cast and executive producers. The gag reel, one of the big reasons TV shows on DVD are still great to own, is fun and even features some amusing retro music that could fit into some of the time periods the show has visited during its second season.

A few of the deleted scenes were a bit too short to change anything on a few of the episodes really, but overall, it never hurts to see what was cut out and start puzzling out why.

Prep for the show’s third season and check out Legends of Tomorrow season two on Digital HD, DVD, and Blu-ray out now!
