Wonder Woman is heading to Supergirl…in a way.
The CW announced yesterday that Lynda Carter will be appearing in the second season of the superhero show. The former Wonder Woman will be playing the President of the United States.
Prior to Supergirl‘s transition to CBS’ sister network and the season two renewal announcement, there were rumors of Carter potentially assuming the role of President. According to DC, Carter is set to appear in multiple episodes and will first appear in the third episode of the show’s second season.
This will mark Carter’s third appearance on DCTV show, first debuting as Wonder Woman in the late 70s followed by a guest appearance on the WB’s Smallville.
Supergirl makes her CW debut this fall, Monday, October 4 at 8 p.m., serving as a lead-in for Jane The Virgin.
