MTV Announces Movie & TV Award Nominees

And we have our first official set of MTV Movie & TV Award Nominees!

After MTV announced that they will be adding television to the award show, the network has announced the nominees as well as modifications to a few categories. This year’s new or modified categories include Best Fight the System and the addition of Best American Story, Tearjerker, and Next Generation. 

Among the television nominees are Netflix’s Stranger Things‘ Demogorgon for Best Villain and Millie Bobby Brown for Best Hero. Jane The Virgin, Fresh Off the Boat, and black-ish for Best American Story. Arrow‘s Stephen Amell and The Flash’s Grant Gustin are also up for Best Hero.
