The CW Releases Its 2016-2017 Schedule

It’s the last day of Upfronts and The CW’s turn to reveal their schedule.

The network had quite a few new shows coming in, including Supergirl‘s move from CBS, to accommodate. It looks like Supergirl will be sticking to its 8 p.m. slot and serve as a lead in to Jane the Virgin at 9 p.m. on Mondays.

Elsewhere on the schedule, The CW will be switching out iZombie on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. for their new series, No TomorrowSupernatural will be handing their Wednesday 9 p.m. slot to Frequency and the long-running series will be heading to Thursdays at 9 p.m. after Legends of Tomorrow.

At this point, a DC show will serve as a lead in on four of the five nights of programming on the CW. Fridays will stay with The Vampire Diaries at 8 p.m. and be paired with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, who is getting the 9 p.m. slot. An interesting Friday night choice.

Heading to the midseason are: iZombieThe Originals, Reign, and Riverdale.
