Good news for Falling Water fans!
USA Network announced Monday that the freshman drama will be returning for a second season. Falling Skies’ Rémi Aubuchon will be joining as showrunner.
“With its striking visuals and stylized narrative, Falling Water creates a world where dreams have a dramatic impact on reality,” said Jeff Wachtel, President, Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “Gale and Blake executed a thought-provoking and resonant first season. We’re delighted to welcome Rémi to the creative team – and we can’t wait to see where he takes us next.”
Aubuchon prior credits include not only serving as showrunner on the TNT series, Falling Skies but on the superhero drama, Powers, as well as co-creator of Battlestar Galactica spinoff Caprica.
Season 2 of Falling Water will follow three unrelated people whose worlds collide when they discover newfound abilities to manipulate dreams – and by extension, the dreamers themselves. With that knowledge, they then must determine how to best use their gifts once they realize how high the stakes are. The series stars David Ajala, Will Yun Lee, and Lizzie Brochere.
Season 2 of Falling Water will premiere on USA later this year.
